Where to begin! This place is stunning. Right when you walk in, you're taken to a different place. It reminds me of one of those themed restaurants that you would find at Disneyland. The detail in the decor is outstanding! I mean even the ceilings are covered in lights mimicking stars. It's just beautiful! They make some fantastic cocktails here. I recommend the Foozool and Azizam if you're in to rum like I am. When it comes to the food, I thought the food was alright, not bad but not that great either. Would I come back again?! Abso-freakin'-lutely! This place is a whole vibe. I understand it's hard to get reservations here. What I did was arrive early, about a half an hour before opening time and I stood in line. We were able to get a table not too soon after the doors opened. I also made reservations on Open Table for my next upcoming visit. Yes, I'm going again! FYI, reservations open up EXACTLY 30 days ahead at midnight and reservations fill up very quickly so if you're interested in making reservations, put an alarm for midnight, 30 days ahead.

With the popularity of Leila, it is hard to score a reservation, but we were able to snag a last-minute reservation at 5 pm on a Monday. To my surprise, it was already packed when we walked in, and we fell in love with the vibe from the get-go. Design & Decor 5/5: As usual, Consortium Holdings has done a great job creating an immersive experience. The space is huge, but each section of the restaurant has its own unique vibe and design details, creating the opportunity to experience the restaurant differently each time you visit. It's something you can't say about every restaurant, but there is no bad table in this place. Service 5/5 : Our server Soleil was amazing!!!! You could tell she knew the menu well and was very passionate and knowledgeable about the food, she was very attentive, and everything she recommended tasted delicious. Food and Drinks 4/5: They start you off with some delicious tea on the house, and I got the tea spritzer from the cocktail menu, which had the perfect mint flavor. We followed it up with a platter of dips and bread; this was indeed a flavor bomb with a variety of spices. For mains, we got the chicken kebabs and the beef koobideh. The Koobideh was exceptional and well-flavored. I took one point off the rating because the chicken was underseasoned and very dry. They also struggled to get the meat off the metal skewers, which caused the kebabs to crumble. Last but not least, our dessert was out of this world. I ordered the Faloodeh, which is pistachio ice cream with vermicelli noodles and rose syrup. It reminded me of enjoying Kulfi Falooda as a child, in the middle of summer in India. It made me very nostalgic :) Overall, Leila is definitely worth the visit. If you can't find a reservation, walk in to score a spot at one of their beautiful bars. You won't be disappointed.

Ever since my bestie had said he had got us reservations for Leila, I was preparing myself for such a really delicious experience and I was not disappointed. Leila had just opened this month so I am definitely giving them the benefit of the doubt as they're growing into their routine. During the day, the outside is really unassuming but at night the signage is a little beacon ready for those to explore. The restaurant aesthetics are top notch, from the lighting to mimic a starry night, to the beautiful mote, the intricately detailed flooring and wall, I was awestruck! But while aesthetics are what bring people in, it's the service and food that keep your patrons. Madeline was our server and she was so friendly and really helpful with all of our questions, she had mentioned it was best to order all of our items at once so the chefs can course out our meal. With how late our reservations were we definitely listened and did so. For starters, we ordered the Salatim Platter and extra order of the roasted garlic khobz and the manakish za'atar. For mains, we ordered the Soltani Platter, we were wanting to order the lamb but they had just sold out so Madeline suggested we order a couple other kabobs since we were a table of 5. We opted for the steak kabob and the salmon skewers and paired them with the saffron rice and tah dig. For cocktails I ordered the Foozool. Our starters came out first, I was so excited it came out so beautifully, we all tried the different dips, spreads and pickled vegetables. I especially loved the muhammara which is a roasted red pepper dip and the cucumber yogurt! I am so glad that we ordered extra breads, the za'atar bread was so delicious and well seasoned, I am salivating just thinking about it. Our drinks came next, which was a smart idea, since it gave us an opportunity to have a food to soak it up. My Foozool was so refreshing and delicious, we actually went around in a circle and all had a sip of one another's cocktails, mine was definitely the best. When our mains came out I was salivating, it all smelled so good, I was really excited to try. Salmon was cooked at the right temp, it needed a little bit of season, wouldn't order that again but the shishito peppers with it were so good. The steak was fork tender and really juicy, I wish it were a little warmer but tasty overall. The chicken was tender and juicy, when paired with a cucumber yogurt it was really good, I wish it was marinated longer to maybe get more of the saffron flavor. I think that the stars of the mains were the beef koobideh and the grilled veggies, i am a sucker for grilled egg plant and these were so tender and flavorful. The beef koobideh, all I can say, no notes, so flavorful so tender absolutely delicious. The Tah Dig, ugh so good, so crispy such good flavor the barberry added the right amount of acidity to the dish. Now for sweets, we got the Knafeh Sundae and the Faloodeh. I wish I took my sundae home, I love the different textures from the filo and pistachio and that sweetened cheese was so good. My friends were raving on about the faloodeh, it was so refreshing, squeezing the lime really accentuated the rose and the rose was not soapy, it was so delicate. Seriously if you can get a reservation do it, this was definitely an experience you'll remember! Again they are just coming into their own routine, so there were issues with timing and we had been told that there was complimentary tea service but didn't receive any. I am definitely coming back with my husband at some point but overall had a wonderful experience with my girlfriends.

We had a great experience. The restaurant was even more beautiful in person. Even the bathroom was stunning. I didn't have high expectations for the food, since this place is obviously focused on looks, but we actually enjoyed everything we ate. Service was great. We had the maast o mousir to start. It was delicious, but should really come with a second piece of pita. The falafel were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside. The cauliflower was sweet and complex. My husband had the joojeh chicken. It was flavorful but a little dry. I had the steak shishlik. It was tasty, if a bit chewy. The tahdig and plain basmati were both excellent. It's weird that people are getting overly upset about some rough edges and the difficulty of getting a reservation. It's a new restaurant! Give them a minute.

Just visited Leila for the first time. The inside is everything you'd expect and more. Drop dead gorgeous. The food and cocktails were all amazing but the star of our show was our server, Seaj (CJ?) He was so attentive, helped us through the menu and made recommendations. We will be back for his service alone. Thanks Leila! We will be back!

We attended the grand opening of this restaurant and we really enjoyed the atmosphere! You feel like you are in a different area than San Diego but the ambiance was absolutely beautiful and perfect for a date night. The food was great, the falafel was our favorite. We also ordered the steak kabob, garlic fry bread and muhammara which were amazing as well. It was there first day opening so I would give the waiters and staff some time and patience to get adjusted. Overall this is 5/5. Highly recommend.

had such an amazing first time at Leila. As always, consortium kills it with the beautiful decor. From the twinkled stars to the ambient lighting and sounds of waterfalls, so serene. Our server was Bailey and she was on point! very knowledgeable on the menu and answered all of our questions with ease, even gave us helpful recommendations and additional suggestions on what to order to pair best with our drinks/sides. Best service I've had dining out in a while so I was very appreciative of that factor. The food was devine!!! loved every bite. Tahdig is a must, both platters are perfect for getting a lil taste of it all and sharing with a party of 3-4.. the fry bread/naan is addicting so be careful, both meats were well seasoned and juicy as hellll especially the chicken! overall just a really good time, I will definitely be back!!
